It's just too weird

So, I have this friend. Her name is Katie, and I think people think I'm talking about myself when I'm talking about her, but honestly, I have a friend named Katie. Our lives are startlingly similar. Here are a few examples:

Katie Jane, Katie June (middle names after grandmothers), both due the end of July, but born 8/2 and 8/20. Both married in July to guys named Erik & Eric who were in the military, and we are now both divorced. We are also from the Northwest & now live in Phoenix. We go to the same church and met at a Bible study from another church. We drive Honda Civics and have the same cell phone. In fact, the last three times we've seen each other we've even been dressed alike. It's getting creepy, people! This is just the tip of the iceberg.

I have to say the weirdest discovery we've made was just last night on the way to the gym we were talking about a sad story in her family & it brought up that her mother's brother died when she was young. I said, my mother's brother had passed away also when I was about nine. Then she mentioned that it was her mother's only sibling, so she had been an only child for about twenty years... same for my mom, too! We both kind of chuckled. Of course, this isn't really funny, but to us, it is.

So then today we have the following email exchange:

KJW: Thanks for the "tips" on "tipping". Also, I learned a new term "idk". Took me a minute but now "ik" what it means.

KJC: LOL! I almost spit burrito out of my mouth when I read "ik".

KJW: I had a burrito too. Whadyaknow?

KJC: Stop it! Are you wearing blue today? hahaha Is your mom an only child after her brother died when you were nine?

KJW: Wearing black today (in honor of our uncles).

KJC: LOL!

KJW: I think you got in your 18 laughs for the day (national average) just from me :)
She cracks me up! It is pretty bizarre the stuff we learn about our lives, but I'm so glad to have her as a friend. She's a keeper!
